For my final project, I produced a development for the social housing sector to meet a demand for more affordable housing in Newcastle city centre area. The focus was on designing apartments as they will be close to the city centre. Throughout the entire design and construction of the apartments, they are aiming for net zero carbon to try and tackle the amount of carbon emissions released through construction.

Both social housing and sustainability is a huge passion of mine so I decided that it would be an excellent idea to put the two together.

After graduating from the MSc, I hope to follow onto to studying a PhD within a similar subject of sustainable construction.
